SIMATIC-based training is designed to train customers on how to program using the specified programming software. RK Controls offers a complete training facility, which includes computer workstations running on Windows 2000 for every student that attends. Educational programming classes will be on the following scheduled dates and will be taught for one day from 8AM until 5PM each day. These classes will have a nominal fee of $400.00 per person, and there is limited seating. You must pre-register to assure a seat.

These educational training courses are extremely organized with professional and Siemens Certified trainers, including all training documentation completely printed out for your reference. These classe are hosted for 4 ½ days from Monday until Friday noon. These classes will have a nominal fee of $1950.00 per person, and there is limited seating.

Coarse Description: SIMATIC® S7 Programming 2

RK Controls is now offering a SIMATIC Step 7 Extension software-programming classes to our customers. SIMATIC-based training is designed to train customers on how to program using the specified programming software. RK Controls offers a complete training facility, which includes computer workstations running on Windows 2000 for every student that attends.

RK Controls is now a National Training Center for Siemens offering educational courses seminars to our customers. These educational training courses are extremely organized with professional and Siemens Certified trainers, including all training documentation completely printed out for your reference. This class will be hosted for 24 weeks on Tuesday night from 4PM until 7PM.

These classes will have a nominal fee of $2450.00 per person, and there is limited seating.

 Agenda for the SIMATIC Step 7 Programming Software EXTENSION Training Class

Throughout this course, students will build or modify a STEP7 project using proper program structuring, documentation and test tools.  Various instructions, memory types, blocks and functions will be introduced to provide the student with solid concepts of structured programming.

This course format consists of instruction and hands-on exercises.

The course uses a conveyor model for demonstrations and exercises.

Then the students will concentrate on the interaction of the SIMATIC HMI with the PLC. The course is a combination of instruction and hands-on. The various HMI models, hardware options and their features will be discussed. The WinCC Flexible configuration software will be covered in detail, as well as modifications necessary to the PLC program for tagging and communications. The features and flexibility of WinCC Flexible in a stand-alone industrial PC environment are addressed. Advanced graphics, PLC interfacing and system communications issues are discussed in detail and taught using hands-on lab exercises.

The next part will build on knowledge and skills of Step7/TIA integration along with communications interfaces and networking of Adjustable Speed Drives, including use of data sets, PID loops, and integrated drive functions.

The final part of this class will have each student automate a pump station with four pumps. Student will create programs using all the tools that they have learn from the month before. This would include writing a program in Step 7 to rotate four pump, monitoring and controlling the pump station with the operator interface panel and running the pumps with the variable frequency drives.

On completion of this class, student should have a great knowledge on programming PLC's, Operator Interface Panels and how to communicate and control Variable Frequency Drives over a Profibus network.
